"The bill allows health care workers to refuse service to anyone on moral, ethical or religious grounds"

Gee, If I was a health care worker, could I refuse to treat Catholics...HA

Isn't the governor going to veto that crappy bill? What is happening to our country?

I'm with Homer--I cannot imagine ANY responsible Governor or president actually allowing such a bill. It certainly shows how arrogant and power-mad these assholes have become and how empowered the ignorant Bush is allowing them to feel, but the big thing in its way is the oath all doctors take not ever to turn away anyone who really needs medical attention.

Amen, Homer--we're going to hell in a handbasket with these people in control.

Mouse, thanks for posting that link. I took the story to my blog and forwarded it to some of the gay guys in our legal department here at work. They were furious at this and feel these laws can ultimately be struck down. But it's going to be hard times until that happens.

I'm also surprised that the article didn't mention anything about what our governor Jennifer Grandholm thinks about the bill.
